Beartooth Fly Fishing on the Madison River
A Flyfisher's Dream Wedding
Beartooth Fly Fishing Lodge and Fly Fishing Shop is a beautiful, hand-built, log structure 20 miles south of Ennis, Montana, on the Upper Madison River--forty-five miles from Yellowstone Park. Beartooth is owned and run by Dan and Nancy Delekta. Dan has guided on the Madison River and other trophy Montana rivers for over twenty five years. He has been tying flies since he was 10 years old and has created a collection of flies called the Delektables™, which catch a lot of fish on the Madison River, other Montana rivers, and lakes and rivers around the world. Dan has also created a collection of Delektables™ for salt water fly fishing.
Beartooth Fly Fishing provides lodging, meals for guests, a Fly Fishing Shop offering thousands of patterns of flies and all the Delektable™ flies. The Delektables™
can be seen on this site, in our Delektable™ Flies Gallery, under the Beartooth Products tab. Our Fly Fishing Shop also carries fly tying tools and materials, fly rods, reels, lines, fishing and outdoor apparel for men and women, jewelry, and fly fishing accessories. Beartooth Fly Fishing is the home of Beartooth Custom Fly Rods--graphite, bamboo, and fiberglass--and Beartooth Fly Fishing Leader Products. Our plan is to open our Online Store in the summer of 2008.
Beartooth Fly Fishing provides guided fly fishing trips on the Madison, Big Hole, Beaverhead, Missouri, Stillwater, Yellowstone, and Bighorn Rivers. Beartooth guides are expert, experienced guides. You will have fun, experience fly fishing at its best, and enjoy whatever intensity of instruction you desire. You will enjoy gourmet lunches, with special sandwiches, made with fresh herbs from our old Wood Driftboat planters in our front yard.
On our website you will find accurate, honest, detailed, timely, and entertaining fishing reports for the Upper Madison, Big Hole, Bighorn, Missouri, and Beaverhead Rivers. Our fishing reports are updated regularly--most of them every Wednesday.
Fly fishing on the Madison River is an experience of a lifetime. The Madison River has been called the "Fifty Mile Riffle", but it has everything--flats, runs, tailouts, pools, and undercut banks. The Madison River is full of wild, vigorous, acrobatic Rainbow and Brown trout. It is a thrill to practice and improve your fly fishing skills and to catch and release these amazing fish. The beauty and serenity of the Madison Valley is breathtaking.
In addition to fly fishing, there are many other activities in our region--hike the Beaverhead National Forest Trails, ride horses, picnic, raft the Beartrap Canyon, Lower Madison, or Gallatin Rivers, golf at Madison Meadows, observe the plentiful wildlife, or visit Yellowstone National Park or the charming, historic city of Bozeman. We will help you make arrangements to do any of these activities.
Take another step in your endless journey that is fly fishing. Come fish the Madison River with people who know it, love it, and want to do everything they can to make you understand what is so special about it. We are passionate about fly fishing. Come stay with us and we will make you feel at home. Come fish with us and we will show you fly fishing like you have never experienced it.
Welcome to our site and enjoy discovering all we have to offer the “deep end diver”-- the serious flyfisherman and flyfisherwoman.
